Lupus

Lupus affects 5 million people worldwide, according to the Lupus Foundation of America. Every year, over 16,000 new cases of lupus are reported across the world. While the causes of lupus are still not fully understood, it is known that lupus is an autoimmune disease that damages various parts of your body. There are many reports that mangosteen juice can alleviate lupus and its symptoms.

The major symptom that labels an autoimmune disease as lupus is severe inflammation that can be systemic, attacking the whole body, which may include- the skin, joints, blood, lungs, kidneys, heart, brain and nervous system.

When you have been exposed to toxins over a period of time, they accumulate in your body and weaken your immune system. Your immune system can also be weakened if you have been infected with a virus or bacteria. All of these scenarios create a good environment for an autoimmune disease such as Lupus.

Immune System Improvement

If you suffer from lupus, your immune system is not working the way it should be working. Right now, your immune system is not able to recognize the difference between germs, bacteria or viruses and healthy tissue. Your immune system is attacking healthy tissue as a result of the confusion, and it causes inflammation, pain and damage to occur in parts of your body.

Mangosteen juice supports the immune system, neutralizes free radicals and provides cellular protection. According to MayoClinic.com, mangosteen is a high source of antioxidants and may protect against certain diseases. Experimental studies were reported by researchers of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México to suggest mangosteen does have antibacterial and antiviral properties.

Inflammation Help

Lupus causes inflammation and painful or swollen joints. The swelling and inflammation may come and go and only appear occasionally. Mangosteen juice has been shown in laboratory studies to reduce inflammation. According to researchers at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, experimental studies have shown that compounds in the mangosteen have anti-inflammatory properties.

Better Skin

A common symptom of lupus is a rash across the cheeks and nose. Mangosteen juice has been known to improve skin tone and decrease wrinkles and blemishes.

Better Energy Levels

If you have lupus, you most likely suffer from extreme fatigue. Mangosteen juice may help overall health, give antioxidant support and promote healthy energy levels.

Several research studies confirm mangosteen does have antioxidant properties.
